It's Pajama Time!

My favorite way and the only way, in my personal opinion, to end the day is with a good book. Of course one of my very favorites is Pajama Time! by Sandra Boynton. I read this book to my son when he was a toddler and now I've been reading it to my daughter. It's the perfect good night story and the perfect bedtime companion to my other favorite nighttime book Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown.

Pajama Time! helps make getting into pajamas fun by making bedtime a party. Like many Sandra Boynton board books you can't help but read it with a rhythm like a rap or a song. I probably sound pretty silly rapping/singing it, but I haven't gotten any complaints yet. Boynton's "Jamma jamma jamma jamma P! J!" chant will have you pajammy-ing all around the room. I love how the end has you reading with enthusiasm and then quieting down to a whisper, which is a perfect segue into bed. This book is a perfect, fun bedtime story for children ages 0-4 (my son still requests it on occasion). Catchy and cute; you'll find yourself wanting some pajama time of your own!
