How To Be Friends with a Dragon
Simon wants to be friends with a dragon, but his older sister Emma isn't so sure he's ready for the task. Like a good big sister, Emma teaches Simon the "rules" for being friends with a dragon. For example, you should never poke a dragon in the nose with a stick while he's sleeping because dragons breathe fire, of course. My five year old son thought How To Be Friends with a Dragon by Valeri Gorbachev was silly and fun. This book would also be a great book to use at the beginning of the school year to introduce the idea of rules in the classroom.
