Kindergarten Rocks!
As my oldest child gets ready to enter kindergarten, I am on the hunt for ways to ease his transition from half day PreK to full day kindergarten. Kindergarten Rocks! by Katie Davis tells the story of Dexter, who learns everything there is to know about kindergarten from his big sister. He is completely ready for his first day of kindergarten, however, his stuffed dog Rufus is a little nervous. It's a good thing Rufus has Dexter to show him the ropes and by the end of the first day of kindergarten, Dexter and Rufus realize that Kindergarten Rocks! This is a great story for first time kindergarteners. Not only will I be sharing it with my son before school starts, but I'll also be reading it to my class during the first few days of kindergarten.
