Today's pick is courtesy of my four year old, who thought Fall Mixed Up by Bob Raczka was super silly. From bears gathering nuts to neighbors handing out stuffing and drumsticks as treats on Halloween, this book will have your child squealing, "No, dat's not right!" at the turn of every page. Whether you use this book in the classroom to study the Fall season or just for fun at home, I would recommend it for children ages 4-8. It's great for checking understanding of things that happen in Fall or discussing the difference between fact and fiction. I've heard of flying squirrels but migrating squirrels floating on balloons seems a bit absurd! If I had to describe this book in two words I'd say, "silly" and "cute".
